Event: The Art of Being Black

On 20 February, David Neita will be presenting a talk on ‘ The Art of being Black’, which explores the representation of Black people in British art. This event is part of the Black Britain Seminar Series organised by the Institute of Commonwealth Studies. It takes place from 18:00 to 19:30 in Room 261 of Senate House, University of London. Event: The Blk Art Group Symposium 2012

The Graves Gallery in Sheffield is hosting a symposium on Wednesday 22 February 2012 on the subject of Black artists during the 1980s. The symposium is linked with the gallery’s current exhibition on the Blk Art Group and brings together various artists and curators to discuss their work and explore its contemporary relevance.
